The plant forms dense cushions from numerous rooting shoots. Leaves are oblong-linear, having a characteristic glaucous or silvery hue. Flowers are solitary, petals are deeply dissected, with fringed edges.
The variety is frost-hardy and drought-tolerant. When grown from seeds, it blooms in the second year after sowing. The flowering period occurs in the summer months, starting from June and lasting until August. The variety possesses an intense fragrance.
It is used in landscape design as a groundcover plant for decorating rock gardens, borders, retaining walls, and as decorative filling for spaces between paving stones.
