The plant forms bushes up to 25–30 cm in height with glaucous-green linear leaves. The flowers are double, deep pink in color, sometimes with dark speckles, and reach 5 cm in diameter. Umbellate inflorescences consisting of 2–4 flowers form on the flower stalks.
Flowering is observed from June to August. The crop prefers sunny areas with fertile, well-drained soils having a neutral or slightly alkaline reaction. The plant possesses high winter hardiness, corresponding to zone 4, and is used for decorating borders, rock gardens, and growing in containers.
