The Lithal variety is a standard cut carnation. The plant has a relatively low height at flowering, stems are thin, with moderate glaucescence. Leaves are linear, dark green in color, with a strong waxy bloom, without signs of curling.
The flowers are fully double, pale pink (RHS 69A), with a light fragrance and shallow serrations on the petal edges. The variety is characterized as quite early, and it is distinguished from a number of other samples by the flat shape of the calyx base.
