The Masai variety is a representative of standard carnations. Its flowers are fully double, have a solid deep purple-red color, and the petal edges are moderately serrated. The flower diameter is 8.5–9 cm; there is no pronounced fragrance.
The plant is suitable for use as a cut flower crop for creating bouquets, and can also be grown in open field or containers. The variety prefers sunny areas with fertile drained soils.
