The Mei-Sciang carnation variety is characterized in agrotechnical publications as moderately resistant to Alternaria leaf spot and branch rot. The variety is also included in lists of plants possessing resistance to Fusarium wilt.

A detailed agronomic description, including morphological traits, flowering periods, or plant height, is absent in available sources. Mentions of the variety in literature are auxiliary in nature when studying crop resistance to diseases.
