The variety belongs to the spray carnation group. The flowers are fully double, the coloration is characterized as cherry self (solid cherry color), and the petal edges are serrated. The pedigree of the variety is unknown.

In scientific publications on plant biochemistry, the variety is used as a model object for studying anthocyanins, which determine petal coloration. Studies have confirmed that the specific cyclamen-red shades are due to the presence of a macrocyclic anthocyanin.
