The White Diamond (Dianthus × hybrida nana) variety is an early-flowering dwarf hybrid 15–30 cm in height. The plant forms pure white flowers approximately 3.8 cm in diameter, flowering on main and lateral shoots during spring and autumn periods. It is used as a container and groundcover crop, prefers full sun or partial shade, and is characterized by high developmental uniformity.

The Owston White Diamond variety is a border carnation obtained from a cross between 'Snowdrift' and 'Snowstorm'. The plant is characterized by large, very full double flowers of a pure white color with finely serrated petal edges, which form a dome-shaped head 108 mm in diameter.
