The plant has a semi-upright habit, forming a bushy mound approximately 28.3 cm in height. The leaf blade is medium-green in color, with an acuminate apex and a cordate base.

The variety is distinguished by large flowers of a purple-red shade on sturdy peduncles. The flowering period lasts from spring to summer; in cultivation, the plant is classified as an annual.
