The variety is a densely branched shrub with a height and width of 0.9 to 1.2 m. The main ornamental characteristic is the change in foliage color from dark purple in spring to dark burgundy in summer, as well as bright yellow flowers gathered in inflorescences, which appear in summer.
The plant belongs to USDA hardiness zones 4a–7b and is capable of withstanding frosts down to -25 °C. The variety exhibits drought tolerance, is suitable for planting in various soil types, and can grow in both sun and partial shade, although the intensity of the foliage color depends on the degree of lighting.
