The TMDG1204 variety is a hybrid of Digitalis purpurea and Isoplexis canariensis. The plant forms a basal rosette of dark green glossy lanceolate leaves. The height of the flower stalks is 60–120 cm, the flowers are colored in a saturated purple-crimson color with a speckled orange or apricot throat.
The plant is semi-hardy and adapted for cultivation in USDA zones 9–11. It prefers rich, well-drained soils and regular watering. Due to the strength of the flower stalks, the variety is suitable for cutting and is often used in container gardening or mixed borders.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
