The plant belongs to the species Dracaena reflexa. In commercial catalogs, it may be designated as Song of Valentina. The leaves have a variegated color: a dark green background with creamy yellow or pinkish-burgundy stripes along the edges.
Under indoor conditions, it reaches a height of 1–2 meters. It is often sold with stems braided into a plait. The plant is relatively low-maintenance, tolerates indoor conditions well, and is moderately resistant to dry air, but is sensitive to waterlogging of the soil.
