Varieties of the Dixie™ series are interspecific hybrids derived from Echinacea purpurea, E. paradoxa, and E. tennesseensis. Plants form compact bushes 30–40 cm tall with sturdy stems resistant to wind and precipitation.
Flowering is profuse, continuing from July to early autumn due to the formation of multiple buds on a single stem. The flowers are large and brightly colored. When grown in moist or compacted soils, plants are susceptible to fungal diseases such as powdery mildew and leaf spot. Young specimens can be damaged by slugs.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
