Variety description

10 August 2026

The plant belongs to the Asteraceae family and is classified as a dwarf globe thistle. The leaves have a pinnately divided shape, are covered with white felt-like pubescence on the underside, and are spineless. Bright blue flowers form the globular inflorescences typical of this genus; the flowering period begins in July.

The variety is a drought-tolerant and heat-loving plant, resistant to diseases. Optimal growing conditions include well-drained soils and a sunny or semi-shaded location. The winter hardiness zone corresponds to zone 3, which allows it to withstand temperatures from –34 to –40 °C.
