Variety description

The variety is a perennial rhizomatous grass forming dense turf. Plant height varies from 30 to 127 cm. The crop belongs to cool-season plants; vegetation begins in early spring, and flowering occurs from June to August.
The plant is characterized by high cold hardiness, fire resistance, and drought tolerance, demonstrating good seed germination energy. The variety is genetically variable and grazing-tolerant, although its stems become coarse by autumn.
The primary purpose of the variety is the reclamation and stabilization of soils, in particular eroded sites, roadsides, dunes, and areas following construction or mining operations. It can also be used as a forage plant, although it is inferior in productivity to some other varieties.
