Variety description

10 August 2026

The plant reaches a height of 30 to 45 cm, and up to 75 cm under irrigation. Stems, leaves, and spikes are glabrous. Leaves are narrow, with a color ranging from pale green to glaucous.

The variety grows actively during the cool season. The rhizomatous system provides good soil stabilization capability and survival. The plant is characterized by excellent seed germination vigor and the ability to compete with weeds after establishment.

The primary purpose of the variety is environmental use: strengthening erosion-prone areas, slopes, dams, and canal banks, as well as reclaiming disturbed lands. The variety is not intended for forage purposes, hay, or intensive grazing.
