The plant is a compact upright shrub 10 to 30 cm in height, in some cases reaching 1 m. Stems are glabrous, medium green. The foliage changes shade from light green in the spring-summer period to a darker tone in autumn and winter.
Flowering is accompanied by the appearance of bright yellow tubular flowers gathered in clusters. The variety prefers well-drained acidic or sandy soils and full sun exposure, under which flowering is most abundant. The plant attracts birds and honey bees and does not require heavy pruning to maintain its shape.
The variety is not frost-hardy, therefore outside the Western Cape climate, it is recommended to use it as a container crop requiring protection from the cold.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
