The variety is a clone selected during the breeding process in the Alicante region, Spain. In terms of maturity, it is characterized as late-maturing. The fruits are larger in size compared to the Algerie variety.
The fruit flavor profile requires a dry matter content of approximately 11.4 °Brix and a titratable acidity level of 0.9 g/100 ml of juice with a high level of malic acid. The variety is intended for commercial cultivation as a dessert crop.
Trees of this variety can be carriers of Apple stem grooving virus (ASGV) and Apple chlorotic leaf spot virus (ACLSV), and may either exhibit symptoms of the disease or remain asymptomatic carriers.
