The Gargamels Nose variety, also known under the trade name Mavicta, belongs to the species Eryngium alpinum L. The plant possesses characteristic bumpy cone-like inflorescences of a purple-violet color, which corresponds to color code 090A.
The stem height of this variety is approximately 60 cm. In the official CPVO registration, the variety name may be indicated without an apostrophe.
