The variety GLOBERY99 is also known under the trade name Blue Dynamite. In a number of reference materials, the plant is classified as a hybrid of the Eryngium × zabelii group, obtained as a result of crossing Eryngium alpinum and Eryngium bourgatii.
The plant is a perennial with ornamental spiny capitate inflorescences and prominent bracts of a saturated amethyst-blue color. The variety is intended for professional use in floristry as a cut flower crop and for ornamental gardening.
