The plant reaches a height of 40 to 85 cm. Inflorescences consist of star-shaped flowers that change hue from pink to cream-pink upon opening. At the top of the flower stalk, which is often purple in color, there is a tuft of green leaf-like bracts.
Flowering occurs from late July to September. The variety is suitable for flower beds, container cultivation, and cutting. The plant is not frost-hardy and requires sunny locations and well-drained soil. Sturdy flower stalks are resistant to lodging; however, with excessive watering and an abundance of fertilizers, the vegetative mass may become soft.
