The variety «Yellow King» is a form of Euphorbia fulgens, differing from the typical species by the yellow hue of its inflorescence bracts. The plant forms elegant, arching stems and is grown primarily as a cut flower crop.

During harvesting, special preparation of the cut sites is required to prevent the loss of milky sap, which helps prolong the freshness of the flowers in a vase. The crop is demanding in terms of growing conditions, sensitive to soil moisture, and prone to fungal diseases, which requires soil sterilization and the maintenance of a stable microclimate in the greenhouse.
