The Duemond variety was obtained by crossing the Wonder Star variety with a white form of poinsettia. The plant is characterized by a compact and uniform habit, which makes it suitable for use as a pot plant.

The bracts have a bright red color. Leaves of a medium green shade are complemented by characteristic red-purple petioles. The variety is early-flowering and is intended for ornamental cultivation in the winter period.
