The Pegirl variety was obtained as a result of a gamma-ray-induced mutation of the Angelika variety. The plant is characterized by a medium-height habit and forms dense, full cyathia clusters, making it suitable for the production of branched potted specimens.
The bracts of the variety have a light-pink color and a slightly umbrella-like shape. The variety exhibits high flowering uniformity and resistance to curling or drooping of leaves and bracts after packaging in sleeves and transportation.
Pegirl is most similar to the Dorothee variety, from which it differs by a lighter shade of pink bracts. The plant is intended for commercial cultivation as a flowering potted crop.
