Variety description

The plant is a compact, dense subshrub reaching a height of 20 to 36 cm. The evergreen foliage has a gray-green hue, and young shoots are characterized by a burgundy-purple color. The inflorescences are lime-green with contrasting red nectaries; flowering occurs during the spring-summer period.

The variety is drought-tolerant and adapted to hardiness zones 4a–8b. It prefers well-drained soils and sunny areas; light partial shade is acceptable. Like other members of the genus, it contains milky sap capable of causing skin irritation.
