Variety description

The plant is an evergreen or semi-evergreen grass with a symmetrical cushion-like form. The foliage is characterized by an "icy" intense blue or blue-gray shade, which may acquire a greenish tone in winter. The height of the plant including flower stalks is from 20 to 40 cm.
In June-July, erect flower stalks appear with narrow panicles that change color from bluish-green to golden-brown. The variety withstands temperatures down to -34°C and arid conditions. The plant requires sunny exposure and well-drained soils, as it is sensitive to excessive moisture.
It is used in landscape design for decorating rock gardens, borders, gravel gardens, and for cultivation in containers.
