The variety forms reliable, white, and dense thickenings at the base of the stem. The plant has good growth vigor but is sensitive to frost. This crop of traditional Italian origin is recognized as a rare variety and is preserved within the framework of biodiversity.
Cultivation requires warm areas with fertile soil and regular watering. The recommended planting scheme is 30 cm between rows and 20 cm between plants with a sowing depth of about 1 cm. The variety is used in cooking in both fresh and thermally processed forms.
