The variety is an upright, densely branched shrub with a height of 45 to 90 cm. The leaves are lanceolate or elliptical in shape, medium green in color with serrated margins, and may acquire a purple hue in autumn.
Flowering occurs in early spring, before the leaves appear. The flowers are bell-shaped, bright yellow, and densely arranged along the shoots. The variety is characterized by stiff shoots and resistance to Phytophthora.
