The plant belongs to the species Fragaria moschata and has a medium maturity group. The bushes reach a height of 15 to 30 cm and are characterized as compact or moderately spreading with upright flower stalks. The berries are small or medium-sized, oval-conical in shape, and colored from pale pink to reddish.
The species is distinguished by high winter hardiness and the ability to grow in partial shade on moist soils, however, it is sensitive to sharp temperature fluctuations. Due to the dioecy or functional femaleness of the plants, the presence of male pollinator individuals or proximity to other strawberry varieties is often required to obtain a yield.
In amateur gardening, the crop is valued for its specific aroma and taste, reminiscent of wild strawberries, raspberries, and pineapple. The plants are also used in landscape design and container gardening due to the decorative appearance of the bushes.
