The variety was obtained by crossing parental forms Douglas and Cal 85.218-605. The plant is vigorous, 20–40 cm tall, with large glossy leaves. The variety is bisexual, self-pollinating, and suitable for open field and greenhouses.
Berries are large, up to 40 g, conical or wedge-shaped, bright red in color with firm shiny flesh. Yield is high, but tends to decrease in the 3rd–4th year of cultivation.
The variety shows resistance to powdery mildew and low susceptibility to gray mold, but is susceptible to Verticillium wilt and anthracnose. Sensitive to severe frosts, requires covering in temperate climates.
