The Carmine variety was obtained by crossing Rosa Linda and line FL 93-53. The plant is characterized by a compact habit and is intended for commercial production in mild winter climates, providing an early harvest in the period from December to February.
The fruits of the variety possess firmness, which increases their transportability, and also have a deep red color both on the external surface and in the internal flesh. The variety shows moderate resistance to fruit anthracnose and gray mold.
