The plant belongs to early varieties and is characterized by the formation of large, elongated berries with a high dry matter content. In experiments evaluating resistance to the fungus Macrophomina phaseolina, the variety demonstrated an intermediate level of infection.
Historically, the variety was widespread in the mid-1960s as a commercial crop. In modern research, it is used primarily as a control sample when conducting DNA screening of collections.
