The Regina variety belongs to the Fragaria vesca species, often classified as alpine strawberry. The bushes are compact, 20–35 cm high, and do not produce runners, which simplifies maintenance of the plantings. The plants show winter hardiness and are capable of fruiting continuously from the beginning of summer until frosts.
The berries have a bright red color, an elongated-oval or conical shape, and a pronounced wild strawberry aroma. The weight of the berries varies up to 10 g with an average value of about 2.5 g, and the yield of one bush can reach up to 1000 berries per season. The variety is versatile in use and suitable for cultivation in limited spaces.
