The variety is a representative of the June-bearing group. Genetically obtained as a result of crossing the parental forms EM881 and Eros.

The variety is characterized by susceptibility to Verticillium wilt caused by the pathogen Verticillium dahliae, as well as to powdery mildew (Podosphaera aphanis) infection.
