The variety was actively used in breeding programs to create high-yielding and resistant cultivars. Currently, it is rarely found in amateur and commercial horticulture, as it has been displaced by modern, more resistant forms.

The economic characteristics of the variety are associated with susceptibility to a number of fungal diseases. Specifically, a tendency to develop Alternaria leaf spot, caused by Alternaria alternata f.sp. fragariae, is noted, as well as susceptibility to fruit rot caused by Botrytis cinerea.
