The variety is intended for commercial cultivation and was developed as a replacement for the Chandler variety for the southern regions of California. The plant is characterized by increased skin density of the berries, which improves their transportability.

As part of the breeding work, the variety was created taking into account genetic resistance to verticillium wilt (Verticillium dahliae). The variety is often used in scientific research as an object for comparative trials to evaluate fruit quality indicators and genetic diversity.
