The variety is characterized by the saturated dark blue color of the inflorescences. Both single and double flower forms occur, and the variety possesses the fragrance characteristic of freesias.
The plant reaches a height of 30–50 cm and is suitable for the decorative arrangement of gardens, flower beds, and pot cultivation. The variety is not frost-hardy and requires protection from the effects of low temperatures.
The name is a trade name, therefore visually similar but genetically different forms of freesia may be offered under it. The variety was included in collections of introduced plants of foreign breeding.
