The variety is a single-flowered freesia. The flowers, 6.5–7 cm in diameter, have a deep purple color with blue shades, sometimes with a white center, and are fragrant. They are gathered in small raceme inflorescences of 2–5 flowers.
The plant reaches a height of about 50 cm and is used primarily as a cut flower crop for floristry. The variety belongs to the River series, the members of which are characterized by high resistance to Fusarium. It is a thermophilic perennial that is often grown as an annual crop.
