The variety belongs to the Berrybank group of hybrids, derived from the crossing of Gentiana veitchiorum and Gentiana hexaphylla. The plant forms dense clumps about 5 cm tall and up to 20 cm wide. It is characterized by multi-flowering and an earlier start of flowering compared to other autumn gentians.
The plant requires moist, well-drained, humus-rich acidic soil and tolerates full sun or light partial shade well. The variety is intended for cultivation in rock gardens, containers, and as an accent element in the autumn garden.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
