The variety is an interspecific hybrid of Geranium pratense and Geranium clarkei. The plant forms a dense bush with upright stems 60–65 cm in height and 70–75 cm in width.
A distinctive feature is the deeply dissected palmate leaves of a rich dark bronze color, which persist throughout the season. The flowers are blue-violet in color with a purple tint and a white center.
