The plant belongs to the large-flowered gladiolus group. The flowers have a rich wine-raspberry, purple, or violet-red hue with a velvety texture, with a diameter ranging from 8 to 14 cm. The inflorescence is spike-shaped, 40–50 cm long, bearing from 9 to 16 buds.
The mature plant reaches a height of 90–140 cm and possesses linear, sword-shaped leaves of a rich green color. Flowering begins 70–90 days after planting, usually occurring in the period from July to September.
The variety is suitable for cultivation in open field and container culture, and is widely used for commercial cut flowers. The plant is characterized by high disease resistance and good propagation ability, though it requires mandatory excavation of corms for the winter.
