The variety has dark purple flower coloration. Botanically, it belongs to the genus Glandularia, which is closely related to the genus Verbena, and is also known under the trade name Aztec Dark Purple Improved.

The plant is intended for decorative floral arrangement. The variety is a vegetatively propagated form. In UPOV variety examination guidelines, "Balazdapi" is used as a reference when evaluating the intensity of corolla color fading.
