The Candir variety is used as a standard (control) when conducting agronomic trials to assess the morphological characteristics of new soybean samples. It is not a commercial variety with described economic characteristics.

Within the framework of variety testing standards (UPOV), Candir is characterized by a weak intensity of anthocyanin coloration of the hypocotyl, corresponding to index 3 on a 9-point scale.
