The OAC Vision variety was developed in Canada by specialists at the Ontario Agricultural College at the University of Guelph. In the professional community, it is known as an object for scientific research into plant physiological responses and seed chemical composition.
In agronomic and physiological experiments, the variety is used in the study of protein, fat, soyasaponin, and lutein accumulation. The biological sensitivity of this variety to cold stress during germination and early growth was also studied.
