The Dakota soybean variety is characterized by a maturity group ranging from early to mid-season with a vegetation period of 95–116 days. Plants reach a height of 85–115 cm, with a lower pod attachment height of 12–14 cm. The flowers are violet, and the pods are brown.

The grain of the variety contains 40–43% protein, and the thousand kernel weight is 165–200 g. The yield potential is estimated at 48–52 c/ha. The variety possesses genetic resistance to glyphosate-based herbicides and demonstrates high resistance to pod shattering and lodging.
