The variety Grimo appears in scientific literature as a transgenic soybean specimen in studies of the effect of soybean mosaic virus on the biochemical composition of seeds. Research demonstrates changes in trypsin inhibitor and lectin activity, as well as fluctuations in flavonoid and protein content during viral infection.

The variety is noted for its ability to maintain or increase the level of nutrients, including carbohydrates, fats, and proteins, in seeds under stress conditions caused by infection, compared to other studied specimens.
