Variety description

10 August 2026

The Mondor variety is used as a reference standard when conducting tests for distinctness, uniformity, and stability. In particular, it is used as an example for the classification of seed size, which is defined as large, corresponding to grade 7 on the UPOV scale.

Open publications do not contain information on the maturity group, plant height, or resistance to lodging or diseases. The variety is not considered a commercial product for cultivation, but rather serves as a biological standard for morphological comparison.
