The variety is characterized by an early maturity group (2375 CHU, RM 00.2). Plants have an erect growth habit, medium to above-medium stem height, tawny pubescence, and a yellow seed hilum.

The variety possesses resistance to Phytophthora root rot (gene RPS 1a), has a chlorosis score of 1.7, and is susceptible to brown stem rot. The variety is lodging resistant, responds well to high seeding density, and is recommended for narrow-row cultivation.
