The soybean variety Talon is characterized by a maturity group of 2900 Heat Units and the presence of seeds with a light brown or tan hilum.

In agronomic practice, the variety was used in the province of Ontario in the 1990s. Talon was also used in the development of the OAC Auburn variety through crossing with the OAC Scorpio variety in 1986.
