The Babylon variety is a cotton genotype used in scientific research to evaluate physiological properties, such as seed germination and tolerance to high temperatures.

Comparative genetic analyses have established that this variety shows a high degree of genetic similarity to the Edassa variety. Detailed agronomic characteristics, including fiber quality indicators and morphological plant parameters, are not presented in open access.
