The variety possesses early maturity traits and exhibits relative drought tolerance, which allows it to adapt to conditions with limited water supply. In agronomic research, this variety is characterized as moderately tolerant to Verticillium wilt.

Due to high fiber length, strength, and micronaire values, the variety is often used as a control sample in comparative trials. Its genetic line served as the basis for the development of a number of other commercial cotton varieties.
